The Benue State Assembly has confirmed the appointment of Mr Joseph Kwagba, Acting Chairman of Benue Internal Revenue Service (BIRS), as the substantive Chairman of the tax agency.
Mr. Alfred Emberga, Speaker of the House, presided over the session held on Tuesday, November 25.
The confirmation of the appointment follows a letter to the effect addressed to the House through the Speaker by the Governor of Benue State, Fr. Hyacinth Alia.
Mr Kwaghgba was appointed as Acting Chair of BIRS in July this year.
He is from Gboko Local Government Area (LGA), Benue State.
