Daily Trust’s Group Sport Editor, David Ngobua, was recognised as a Fellow of the Sport Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) on October 31.
Mr Ngobua received the honours at the closing ceremony of SWAN’s Diamond Jubilee anniversary, held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The honour is in recognition of Mr Ngobua’s outstanding support to SWAN and contribution to the development of Sport in Nigeria, the organisers said.
Mr Ngobua, a veteran of the pen profession, thanked SWAN for the honours.
He wrote on his Facebook timeline: “By the special grace of God, I was among those recognised by national SWAN on Friday, October 31, in Abuja.”
