Benue State Governor, Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has arrived in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, after a series of high-level engagements in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Fr. Alia left Benue after a thanksgiving service in his honour by his maternal kinsmen on Sunday, October 19.
He said his engagements in Abuja “focused on strengthening strategic partnerships and advancing key development priorities for our beloved State.”
Fr. Alia acknowledged having a productive engagement with Dr Abba Aliyu, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), Abuja, to accelerate rural electrification projects across communities in the state, thereby enhancing livelihoods and stimulating local economic growth.
The governor thanked the people of the state for their “continued support, prayers, and belief” in his mission to build a new Benue.
Fr. Alia, who proceeded to inspect ongoing projects upon arrival in Makurdi, was welcomed by enthusiastic residents who turned out in locations he visited to greet him.
