Ahead of the 2025 Kyegh Sha Shwa (KSS) cultural festival, the KSS Editorial Team has called for articles for publication in the maiden edition of KSS Chronicles. The organisers have also fixed November 13 as the date for the unveiling of the 2025 festival theme in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Festival Director Mr Laz Apir, who disclosed the Abuja unveiling date to TNT after a virtual meeting of the committee, stated that the 2025 edition of KSS would mark the 10th anniversary of the festival.
Fr. Solomon Ukeyima, Dean Ikpayongo Deanery, first convened KSS at Daudu in 2015 and remains the Convener-in-Chief. The festival is held annually on the 26th and 27th of December.
“We welcome insightful and engaging articles that explore the richness of Tiv culture and the impact of the KSS Festival,” the KSS Chronicles Editorial Team writes.
The deadline for submitting all articles is November 30.
In 2020, due to COVID-19 protocols, KSS enthusiasts were encouraged to enjoy their KSS meals in small groups at home or other locations permitted by state authorities.
