APC chieftain predicts economic stability as Nigeria hits 65

The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and former member Agro and Commodity Directorate,Tinubu /Shettima Campaign 2023, Chief Barnabas Mnenga has predicted that the Nigerian economy will soon hit a point of stability.

Chief Mnenga, who spoke with TNT on the phone, congratulated Nigerian leaders and Nigerians on Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day anniversary.

He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s (PBAT’s) reforms, saying that in the long run, they will ensure a stable economy.

According to Chief Mnenga, the removal of fuel subsidy by the PBAT administration “though painful has saved the country from collapse and put in more money in the system for infrastructure development and the provision of other social services.”

He explained that as it is obtainable, there are more resources at the disposal of states, attracting development and eliminating scenarios where governors used to struggle with basic things like payment of salaries and pensions.

Chief Mnenga, therefore, urged Nigerians to keep faith with the PBAT administration and ensure his re-election in 2027, to continue to deliver on policies and programmes that would put Nigeria in the league of developed economies.
