Nigerian cyclist, Emmanuel Myam a.k.a Emmiwuks, who is on adventure on bicycle to the United States of America (USA) from Lagos, Nigeria, hopes to hir the Sierra Leonian border before sundown on Monday, September 9.
On June 30, Emmiwuks embarked on a solo bicycle journey to America, for the purpose of “raising awareness and support for vulnerable orphan children and internally displaced persons (IDPs) kids who’ve lost their homes, families, and safety due to conflict and crisis in Nigeria and across Africa.”
He has crossed five international border lines so far and is aiming for the 6th.
Emmiwuks announced on his verified Facebook account Real- Emmiwuks that he departed Liberia at exactly 4am on Monday, in the company of the “Sinkor Riders,” on his way to the Sierra Leonean border. The border is about 150km from Monrovia.
“Together with my brothers, the Sinkor Riders, we’ve been conquering the road, the rain, and the mountains because this mission is bigger than me. It’s about giving hope to the orphans, the displaced, and the vulnerable children of Africa.
“Grand Cape Mount, thank you for receiving us. The road ahead is still long, but step by step, pedal by pedal, we are moving closer to the dream,” he wrote.
It is 71 days today since Emmiwuks departed Lagos – Nigeria, for USA on a bicycle.
