Nigerian teen Ebube Ibeanusi has said the African giant’s U-17 school boys will perform better in the next edition of the All Africa Schools Games.
Ebube was a member of the Nigerian contingent for the just-concluded maiden edition of the All Africa Schools Games, which were played in Algeria.
He said that although the team did not play to expectations, dropping out of the tournament at the quarter finals, he assured that Nigeria would do better in the next season.
Ebube, who just graduated from high school, is looking forward to playing professional football in Europe.
The All Africa School Games is a continental sporting event for student-athletes aged 14-17, aimed at promoting youth development and regional unity.
Nigeria is billed to host the second edition of the games in 2027.
