The Leader, Benue Valley Initiative, Oscar Aorabee, Esq, has said that Tiv “Professionals are solidly behind” Prof. Zacharys Gundu.
Mr. Aorabee was reacting to the demand notice for “retraction of and apology” issued by Ahmed Raji, SAN, to Prof. Gundu, on behalf of Engr. Abdullahi Sule, Governor of Nasarawa State.
During a town hall meeting recently by Newscentral TV, Prof. Gundu accused Governor Sule of providing a safe haven, refuge, and taking the lands of his citizens and giving them to foreign “Fulani” terrorists.
Raji, SAN, on behalf of Engr. Sule reckons Prof. Gundu’s comments describe Engr. Sule as a sympathiser, protector, and enabler of the armed bandits who have wreaked havoc on Benue State.
The governor, however, in asking for evidence, said a retraction and publication of an apology in five national dailies would assuage the Nasarawa State Governor.
“Prof Zacharys Anger Gundu spoke our minds and on our behalf. We Tiv professionals are solidly behind him.
“We are not going to be intimidated by any panic reaction known in Hausa parlance as ‘barazanan banza,'” Aorabee said in response.
