The founder of Menroi Rural Priority Foundation, Prof. Kohol Iornem, in a humorous post on his verified Facebook timeline, Kohol Shadrach Iornem, has said rather than acknowledge him as a celebrity, his daughter Samantha should take the glory.
According to Prof. Iornem, his daughter, who has yet to visit Nigeria, is more popular in Nigeria than he is.
Prof. Iornem, who came second in the 2023 Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency election, graduated with a Bachelor’s in Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria – Nigeria before emigrating to the UK, where he lives and works.
The Ushongo born confessed that in spite of his standing with the people, anytime he visits Nigeria, people address him as “Samantha’s Dad.”
“Every time I see people tagging me where they are mentioning celebrities,” Prof. Iornem opened up before adding that it is Samantha, that is the “celebrity.”
Samantha is always setting the Internet on fire, with one content or the other, sometimes showing her prowess in Tiv culture or promoting development efforts in Benue, her father’s home state.
