The newly appointed Benue State Commissioner for Works, Hon. Kuma Aii Iyenge, has assumed office and called for synergy between the ministry’s management and staff to accelerate infrastructural development across the state.
Mr. Iyenge assumed duty on Wednesday, August 27, at the Ministry of Works, where he was received by the Permanent Secretary, Engr. Donald Ikyaaza, and other top management officials.
Addressing the management and staff shortly after his arrival, the commissioner commended them for their contributions to the infrastructural development recorded by the administration of Governor Hyacinth Alia.
He said he was prepared to work closely with the ministry’s management and staff to achieve positive results, stressing the importance of teamwork in delivering the government’s development agenda.
Mr. Iyenge also expressed appreciation to Fr. Alia for the opportunity to serve the people of Benue, promising to work towards bridging the gap between the government and the people and ensuring that residents feel the impact of government development initiatives.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Engr. Ikyaaza, introduced the directors of various departments to the commissioner and assured him of their support, cooperation, and loyalty in discharging his responsibilities successfully.
Those present at the meeting included the Director of Civil Engineering, Engr. Tivfa Wombo; Director of Engineering Services, Engr. Emmanuel Aer; Director of Administration and Supply, Mr. Mfa Ape; Director of Finance and Accounts, Mr. Idoko Samson; and Information Officer, Mrs. Ngunan Sullah.
