BIPC plans revolving loans, hostels for MOAUM students

Date:

The Group Managing Director (GMD) of Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC), Dr Raymond Asemakaha, has said his company would liaise with the management of Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi (MOAUM), for a Thirty Million Naira (N30m) revolving loan for students of the university.

Dr Asemakaha disclosed this while addressing Benue students who gathered for the Students’ Turning Point Programme, tagged “Fueling Benue’s Future,” held at MOAUM on Tuesday, March 10.

The programme is organised by BIPC in collaboration with the Benue State Government, whose aim, Dr Asemakaha told journalists, is “to inspire innovation, skills development, and entrepreneurship among students in tertiary institutions across the state.”

Participants during the session engaged with experienced professionals and thought leaders who shared insights on productivity, economic participation, and the role of students in shaping a prosperous future for the state.

Dr Asemakaha, while answering questions from students, said that benefiting students from the N30 million revolving loan would pay only 2% interest per annum.

He also announced plans to build a hostel facility for the students as soon as the university management made land available for the purpose.

Hundreds of students turned out for the programme, which is also scheduled to be held in other tertiary institutions in the state.
