Benue’s Victor Dooga, a.k.a. Victor Benue Boy, defeated his Ghanaian opponent, Mubarak Muhammad Entsuah, to win the first Global Warrior Sports Champions mixed martial arts (MMA) event in Accra, Ghana.
Victor knocked out his opponent Mubarak in two minutes, one second to become global champion of 70.1Kg weight class.
The Benue boy is full of gratitude to “God Almighty,” those who prayed for him and to all his fans in Nigeria and abroad.
“Thank you very much for praying for me and encouraging me. Today, I am a champion,” he said in a post-victory comment.
One of his fans, Kate Anene, a spokesman for the Benue State Command of the Nigeria Police, congratulated Victor Benue Boy, saying: “Keep doing us proud! This is one person who is self-sponsored, but he is doing well!! He needs support and sponsorship. He can represent Benue and Nigeria anywhere.”
